[UPMy role in the project: illustrator of the OPEN Garage: Drumul Taberei neighborhood - Map of Collective Practices.
·OPEN Garage is a project initiated in 2020 by Alex Axinte (studioBASAR).
·Built in several stages, Drumul Taberei neighborhood of Bucharest reflects the evolution of collective living in Romania, from blocks, to micro-rayon, until later densifications. Here, the successive intersections between the designers' initial intentions, the housing policies and the inhabitants' answers are evidenced over the background of socio-economic transformations of the past 6- years. In this context, the OPEN Garage was initiated as a piece of community equipment and a research and support tool for the practices of collective transformation, use and management of the neighborhood's public spaces.*
